Unique Open Heart Gaming honors that recognize the people and moments that shaped the community itself.
Be an Open Heart Gaming member at Recruit rank or higher during the founding eligibility window ending August 28, 2026.
A one-time legacy honor for the people who were here at the beginning and helped form the first generation of Open Heart Gaming. It is granted automatically and permanently closes after the founding window.
Valor
Senior Open Heart Gaming honors for extraordinary performance, distinguished service, and exceptional leadership.
Reserved for a singular, extraordinary in-game action that clearly saves an official operation or protects the team from a major defeat. Requires unanimous senior leadership approval and a written citation.
Not grindable; awarded only for exceptional circumstances.
Perform an exceptional mission-saving action during an official operation while under intense pressure, with the action independently confirmed by at least two leaders.
Requires command review and a formal nomination.
Carry out an exceptional non-combat support action during an official event, such as recovering stranded teammates, preserving a critical asset, or keeping an operation functioning during an emergency.
The action must directly benefit the team or mission.
Complete at least 12 official operations and receive documented praise for leadership, teamwork, logistics, medical support, communications, or another meaningful contribution in at least three of them.
May also be awarded for one unusually strong achievement.
Complete at least 5 official operations and demonstrate a notable contribution to an objective, squad, crew, or support element during one of those events.
Designed as an attainable early-career recognition.
Maintain active membership for at least 90 days, complete 25 official operations, and remain free of major disciplinary action during the qualifying period.
Repeat awards may be tracked with devices or stars later.
Achievement
Open Heart Gaming honors recognizing achievement, commendation, consistency, and operational excellence.
Reserved for a singular, extraordinary in-game action by a Marine-aligned member that clearly saves an official operation or protects the team from a major defeat. Requires unanimous senior leadership approval and a written citation.
Not grindable; awarded only for exceptional circumstances.
Perform an exceptional mission-saving action during an official operation as part of a Marine-aligned element, with the action independently confirmed by at least two leaders.
Requires command review and a formal nomination.
Carry out an exceptional non-combat support or rescue action during an official event that preserves teammates, a critical vehicle, or mission capability.
Intended for exceptional support outside direct combat achievement.
Complete at least 12 official operations in a Marine-aligned element and demonstrate sustained leadership, teamwork, technical skill, or mission support above the normal standard.
May also recognize one unusually strong achievement.
Complete at least 5 official operations in a Marine-aligned element and make a documented contribution that noticeably improves squad, platoon, vehicle, aviation, or support performance.
Designed as an attainable early-career recognition.
Maintain active membership for at least 90 days, complete 25 official operations with a Marine-aligned element, and remain free of major disciplinary action during the qualifying period.
Recognizes consistency, reliability, and community standards.
Participate in 10 official combat-focused operations as an active member of a Marine-aligned element, completing assigned duties through the majority of each event.
A participation-and-reliability award, not a kill-count award.
Service
Open Heart Gaming honors recognizing sustained service, operational contribution, and community impact.
Perform a clearly exceptional in-game action during an official operation that materially changes the outcome of a difficult engagement or objective in the team’s favor.
Requires leadership nomination and command approval.
Demonstrate sustained excellence across at least 15 official operations, or perform one major achievement that directly enables a critical objective or prevents an operation from failing.
May recognize leadership, support, or combat achievement.
Be incapacitated by opposing-player action during an official operation while legitimately carrying out an assigned role, then return to or remain involved in the mission when gameplay permits.
Deliberate recklessness, rule-breaking, or intentionally seeking the award does not qualify.
Complete 20 successful official aviation sorties as pilot or aircrew, including transport, resupply, reconnaissance, or support missions, with consistently safe and mission-focused performance.
Avoidable crashes or repeated disregard of aviation SOPs may reset progress.
Complete at least 30 official operations and make a sustained, documented contribution to leadership, administration, training, event organization, technical support, or community development.
Intended for long-term service beyond ordinary participation.
