About these terms
Open Heart Gaming (OHG) is an unincorporated gaming community, not an incorporated company. These terms describe the conditions for using openheartgaming.com and OHG community services that reference them, including accounts, applications, support tools and server-access features.
Read these terms before creating an account, submitting a form or using a feature that asks you to accept them. If you do not agree, do not use that feature. The Privacy Policy explains information handling; accepting these terms is not blanket consent to unrelated uses of personal information.
Eligibility and accounts
OHG community membership is restricted to adults aged 18 and over to maintain an age-appropriate social gaming environment. Applicants must confirm they are at least 18. We rely on their honest declaration and do not request identity documents for membership age verification. This is not an adult-content designation. Public game servers may also be used by people under 18; server participation does not confer community membership or mean that a player's age has been verified. You must meet the eligibility requirements of the game and third-party services you use.
Use an account you are authorized to control and provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not impersonate someone else or link a Steam account you do not control. Keep your Discord, Steam and other linked accounts secure. Tell us at openheartgamers@gmail.com if you believe someone has used your OHG account without authorization.
Community and server rules
Follow the OHG rules at https://openheartgaming.com/rules and any game-specific rules that apply to the server or event. The rules address conduct, communication, teamwork, fair play, seeding, reporting and appeals.
Do not use OHG services to harass or threaten people, discriminate, impersonate staff, cheat, evade a ban, share malicious software, gain unauthorized access or disrupt the service. Do not expose another person's private information or submit material that you do not have the right to share. Do not knowingly submit a false report or retaliate against someone for raising a concern.
Community membership, rank, leadership positions and advancement are subject to the relevant application and review processes. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or a particular outcome.
Submissions and evidence
You remain responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information and evidence you submit. Give relevant context, distinguish what you witnessed from what you were told, and avoid unnecessary personal information. Evidence links may be reviewed by staff and handled through the case systems described in the Privacy Policy.
You retain any rights you hold in material you submit. To the extent needed to handle your request or operate the relevant community process, you permit OHG to store, copy and show that material to staff and service providers involved in that process. This permission does not authorize unrelated advertising use. Public disclosure of personal information remains subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Whitelists and future support
Whitelist access is subject to the eligibility and seeding rules that apply to it. It does not exempt anyone from community or game-server rules, guarantee that a server will always be online, or guarantee that a connection will always succeed.
OHG has not launched its planned Patreon support program. If we introduce paid support, we will publish the offer, billing and cancellation details and applicable terms before accepting payments. These terms do not offer a current paid subscription or promise future benefits.
Moderation and appeals
OHG may investigate reports and apply the measures described in its community and server rules, including warnings, removal of content, restrictions, suspension, kicks or bans, as appropriate to the issue. Technical systems may assist with rule enforcement, and staff may review relevant activity and external moderation information.
You can challenge an OHG ban or other eligible community decision through https://openheartgaming.com/appeals. Include the relevant account, decision and supporting context. An appeal does not automatically restore access or guarantee a different outcome. If a restriction comes from an external provider, that provider's review process may also apply.
Nothing in these terms prevents you from reporting a concern to a game publisher, platform, regulator or other authority. The independent Offworld reporting route described on the OHG rules page remains available for applicable Squad matters.
Website content and third parties
Website content, branding, game assets and third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. You may use the website for its intended community purposes. These terms do not grant ownership or override a separate licence.
Discord, Steam and game publishers are separate providers with their own terms and policies. OHG does not control their services. Links and integrations do not imply endorsement of everything they provide.
Availability and responsibility
Servers and website features may be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults, provider outages or changes to a game. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free information or a particular gameplay result. Service information and statistics may need correction.
You remain responsible for your own conduct and for following the terms of the games and platforms you use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will identify the effective date. For a material change, we will post a notice on the website explaining what is changing and when it applies. Where further notice or acceptance is required by applicable law, we will provide that notice or obtain that acceptance before relying on the change. Changes do not remove rights that have already arisen or apply retroactively where the law does not allow it.
